I love to read this kinda posts and I believe Chrysler Pacifica forum members do the same! One thing I agree with them, since Pacifica is the first and only hybrid mini-van in the market space, there isn’t anything to compare it to. But if you are looking for a technologically advanced vehicle in a body of a mini-van, this is it.

If you are not mini-van fan, this 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Platinum would categorically change your mind. The all-new Pacific Hybrid is the first of its kind, a mini-van hybrid. Chrysler has beat its competition with this seven-passenger plug-in hybrid with an advanced gasoline-electric powertrain, meaning it utilizes an electric motor as well as a battery pack to supplement its gasoline V-6.

You can find the Chrysler Pacifica in two trims. The Premium level has a base price of $41,955 with standard equipment including leather, heated front seats, a six-speaker auto system, a Uconnect 8.4 touchscreen, power side doors and liftgate, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert to name a few.

Our tester was the Platinum trim, which starts at $44,995 and is upgraded with premium Nappa leather-trimmed bucket seats, heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, a 13 speaker Alpine audio system. With options our vehicle priced at $47,885 with the preferred package including the Uconnect Theater Package and Tri-Pane Panoramic Sunroof. One of the coolest features is the KeySense programmable vehicle features to promote safe teen driving allowing parents to place limits on speed and audio volume, mute the audio if the front seatbelts are not secured and block certain Sirius XM channels. Making this vehicle an even more affordable option is that it qualifies of $7500 in federal tax credit.

Not only is it is great for your wallet, it excellent on fuel economy. The electric-only mode is rated 84 MPGe in the city. With a fully charged battery, you can travel up the 33 miles on electricity alone, afterward, the gasoline engine would engage, which then gives you 32 MPG. On the highway, you lose some of the efficiency since it ends up being the same as the standard gas Pacifica with an average of 28 MPG.

The exterior offers understated changes to distinguish it from the standard Pacifica which include a different grille, teal colored Chrysler emblems and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The premium is available in 10 exterior colors including Billet Silver, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl, Granite Crystal Metallic, Molten Silver, and Velvet Red Pearl.

Since this hybrid mini-van is the first and only in its market space, there isn’t anything to compare it to. But if you are in the market for a technologically advanced vehicle that can comfortably fit your family of seven, this 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is it. Nothing can compare, obviously!

Yes, this is the only tech-infused minivan currently available in the market. But Toyota or Honda is catching the market very quickly. By 2018, we will see Honda Odyssey joining the battle.
